MTF-XML
MTF-XML is Message Text Format expressed in Extensible Markup Language (XML) instead of as slash-delimited text.
Context
An XML message names every element and can be checked against a schema before it is sent, so a receiver can reject a bad message for a stated reason instead of failing to parse it. The cost is size: the element names repeat, and a message that took a few lines of text becomes much longer. EXI exists to remove that cost.
How Gridnorth handles it
Gridnorth renders MTF-XML from the confirmed record and validates it against the schema before release. A message that fails validation is never released.
