Speech and natural language processing (NLP)
Speech is the largest untested part of the framework. Task: evaluate and adapt speech recognition for radio-quality audio in English and Canadian French, including regional accents and second-language speakers, and report error rates for each group.
Radio frequency (RF) and software-defined radio (SDR)
Radio performance has not been tested. Task: characterize High Frequency (HF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) links, work with modems, and measure time on air for the encoded messages.
Military messaging subject-matter expert (SME)
Task: review the message definitions and test inputs against how messages are actually written and sent. Signallers, staff officers and emergency-management practitioners are best placed to find the errors that are invisible from outside.
