TRL
Technology Readiness Level (TRL) is a nine-point scale of how mature a technology is, from basic principles observed at level 1 to proven in operations at level 9.
Context
TRL rates the maturity of the technology, not the type of data behind it. At TRL 3 each critical function has been demonstrated in the laboratory, on representative data. At TRL 4 the pieces are validated together, still in the laboratory. Fielded systems sit much higher.
How Gridnorth handles it
Gridnorth is at TRL 3. Integrated laboratory validation (TRL 4) is the next stage. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of operational readiness.
